Pastor Alice Howard Wells, a daughter given by the Lord to the late Rev. Redmond Johnson and Martha Lee Barrett was born in Greenville, NC, June 7, 1945. She departed this life peacefully on May 13, 2024. Today we rejoice knowing a Great Prophet of God has completed her kingdom building journey and is forever at home with the Savior whom she faithfully served all her life. Growing up in Pitt County, “Alice Lee” as they so dearly called her, was reared in the church which seeded her calling. As an adult she gave her life over to the Lord in full time ministry of 50 years. Pastor, answered God’s calling when she began an outreach ministries opening the doors to her dedication the Powertime Outreach Ministries Church, providing strong evangelism, street ministries, community food, clothing, shelter and youth events. Entrepreneur of many talents, she hand made jewelry, crafts, clothing, and her cleaning service all of which she ministered the word of God! Any environment she was present in, she actively provided kingdom building for Christ and manifested all to his Glory. Pastor Alice was preceded in death by her husband James Wells and 10 siblings. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two daughters: Crystal Howard-Talmadge of Wilson, NC, and Candria Williams of Smithfield, NC, three sons: Edwin Howard of Philadelphia, PA, Reginald Howard of Smithfield, NC, and Darrien Howard Sr. (Lianny) of Smithfield, NC, 23 grand children, 30 great grands, and 1 great great grandchild, PTO family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
