Mrs. Rose Marie Hunter
Mrs. Rose Marie Hunter, 83 of Pine Level, NC transitioned surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday April 30, 2024. Rose Marie was the daughter of the late Herman and Margaret King born in Jersey City, New Jersey October 14, 1940.
Rose Marie always had a passion to care for others and served the community as a crossing guard for schools in the Jersey City area. She also, volunteered at the Jersey City Medical Center. In 2017 she moved to N.C. to be close to family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Herman and Margaret King, four brothers: Robert King, Thomas King, Richard King, Joseph King and her lifelong companion Freddie L. Jones.
Mrs. Rose Marie Hunter leaves to honor and cherish her memory, Mark (Angelina Jones) King, Margaret (Victor) Linton, Kisha Hunter, Lisa (Ernest) Hill, Lashawn (Shawnquan) Davis, 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing:
Wednesday May 8, 2024, at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC., from 2:00pm - 3:00 pm.
Funeral Service:
Wednesday May 8, 2024, at the Funeral Home Chapel following the viewing starting at 3:00 pm. Services will stream live on our Facebook page at 3:00 pm.
