Apostle Vera A. Tomlinson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Apostle Vera A. Tomlinson, age 72, on May 28th at her residence in Clayton, N.C., surrounded by the love of her children. Vera was born on July 7th, 1952, in Goldsboro, N.C. She attended Forest Hill High School and later graduated from Enloe High School in Raleigh, N.C.
Apostle Vera was married to Willie Roy Tomlinson, who is now deceased. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving children: Juan Decarlos Tomlinson, Ahmad Rashad Tomlinson ("Tank"), and Tremeka Tomlinson Bayless. Vera was also a proud grandmother to Rashad Smith ("Quan"), Tyana Barefield (“Ty Ty”), Robert Keith Bayless III ("KJ"), and Quinlan Stacy. She is also survived by her brother, Walter Ray Atkinson (Stank), and her sister, Margarette Ray.
Apostle Tomlinson will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Wednesday June 4, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd. Smithfield, NC 27577.
Funeral Services: Thursday June 5, 2025, viewing from 11:00 am until 11:30 am. Funeral begins at 11:30 am New Generation Christian Church 4423 Wilsons Mills Rd, Smithfield, NC.
