Timmy attended Roosevelt High School in Washington, DC and was a part of the graduating class of 1980. While in DC, he worked for TRW Systems Group for many years. Upon moving to North Carolina in 2007 he worked at Larry’s Southern Kitchen in Raleigh, NC for many years. While at Larry’s he enjoyed his job as a cook. While in Charlotte he worked for Canteen Vending Services until the time of his death.

Timmy was predeceased by his Mother Mattie Farmer Rowland, brother JeffreyDevon Rowland. He leaves to cherish his memory, Father James Howard Rowland, Son; Terrance Washington (Alisha), Three Grand-Children; Travis Handy, Myron Wright, Ashanti Wright, Sisters; Salethea Rowland-Baber, Christine Anderson (Billy) a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing/Visitation for “Timmy” will be held at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC Wednesday May 23rd from 4:00 pm until 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 24th at First Missionary Baptist Church 40 Durant Rd., Wilsons Mills, NC starting at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 noon.
