Mr. Carl Junior Brooks age 76 born October 19, 1944 of Kenly, North Carolina slipped peacefully away Sunday January 10, 2021at his residence in Kenly. He was the son of the late Carl Brooks Sr. and Maxine Sutton Brooks.
Carl loved music and played guitar in a youth band along with his siblings. Carl entered in the US Army as a young man. Following his time in the military he started a career as a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Sr. and Maxine Brooks, sister, Lizzie M. Shaw, and son; Carlton R. Brooks.
Carl leaves behind, one sister; Yvonne Shaw, three brothers; Daniel, Ezekiel, and Carly, three daughters; Kemberly (Robert) Lucas, Carla (Kevin) Holder, and KaShuauna Brooks, three grandchildren; Takeyah, Kevonte, and Tonio, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Walk-Thru Viewing Only
Thursday January 14, 2021 at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Facial coverings are required while in the building.
Graveside Service
Friday January 15, 2021 at Selma Memorial Gardens, Selma NC 12:00 noon. Facial coverings and social distancing must be observed.
