Rex Demoris Dublin, was born August 9, 1959 in Newark New Jersey. He was the son on of Russell and Ruby Dublin. 
Rex attended public schools in North Carolina and New Jersey before entering the Army. He was a part of the Airborne Infantry in Germany between 1976-1980. He became a Chaplain Assistant while specializing in Parachute Assault Operations in the 82nd Airborne Infantry and Airborne Division, in Fort Bragg, NC from 1980-1984. He then became an Army Recruiter from 1985-1988. After serving his time in the Army, Rex became a business owner while also working for Cargill. He loved to sing, loved music and long conversations about life. Rex loved working in the yard and tending his garden which grew all types of vegetables, produce and fruits.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Taquaan Dublin (Claudia), his daughter Tahkesha Crawley (William), one sister, Debra Williams (James), two brothers, Billy Dublin (deceased) and Russell Dublin Jr (deceased); parents Russell Dublin Sr and Ruby Lee Dublin (both deceased), his life partner, Cynthia Kinsey, 7 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a number of other relatives and friends who also mourn his loss.
Funeral Services for Mr. Rex D. Dublin will take place at 10:00 am Friday May 7, 2021 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC.  Facial coverings and social distancing is required.
