Dorothy Faye Lassiter Johnson-Liles age 84 of Smithfield, NC., known to many as "Ma Faye" passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, in Fayetteville, NC. Faye was the daughter of Walter Avery and Virginia Lassiter; born April 13,1941 in Johnston County NC. 

Ma Faye was loved and respected by the many in the Smithfield community. She worked many years as a CNA throughout the area. She was a member of the Sanders Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health declined. Ma Faye loved her children and family very much. She had 6 children: Kenneth Johnson, Tony Johnson (deceased), Felicia Johnson (deceased), Moomoo Johnson, Dale Johnson, Bruce Johnson, and a host of grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Memorial Service: Saturday October 11, 2025, at 4185 Black Creek Rd., Smithfield, NC 27577 starting at 2:00 pm.

Message: She will be missed her and my mom Alice Liles were sister in laws and great friends. Their favorite thing to do together was to go to KFC to eat buffet, go fishing, go to the flea market and play spades against their husbands. Great times!
