We would like to inform you of the transition of Ms. Betty Merritt, age 70 of Washington DC on Friday June 19th. Mrs. Merritt is the daughter of the late Alton and Iona Merritt. She is survived by two sons Carlos and Lewis Merritt of Washington DC; two sisters Barbara Merritt and Agnes Merritt-English of Smithfield, and host of other relatives.

Funeral services for Ms. Merritt are scheduled for Monday June 29th at St. Peter Church of Christ DOC 1011 E. Massey St Smithfield, NC 1:00pm . The family will receive guest Sunday from 5pm until 7 pm at the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel.
