Ms. Betty Sue Cooper Hawkins
Mrs. Betty Sue Cooper Hawkins, age 76 of Athens-Clarke County Ga., transitioned peacefully on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Betty was the daughter of Charlie James Mapp and Lavonia Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memories Frank E. Hawkins Jr. of Athens Ga., Tracy Hawkins Nixon of Garner, NC., Tiffany L Royal of Athens GA., numerous grandchildren and great grand children, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Viewing - Sunday February 13, 2022 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield, NC 27577 at 6:00pm.
Friday February 18, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Winfrey's Mutual Funeral Home 390 Glenhaven Ave., Athens GA 30606, 706-548-4246.
Funeral Service
Saturday February 19, 2022 at Thankful Baptist Church 1218 Union Point Rd. Hwy 77, Stephens, GA funeral service starts at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at Athens Memory Gardens 5195 Lexington Rd., Athens, GA.
