Mildred M. Williams Jackson, affectionally called “Sweet” was born January 31, 1936, to the late Mckinley and Beadie Allen Williams. On October 17, 2025, she exchanged time for eternity in Smithfield North Carolina. 

In 1954, she graduated from JCTS and continue her education at Hargett Dietitian School in Raleigh. After graduation she was employed at Forest Hill High School in Four Oaks, North Carolina. IN 1967 she moved to Brooklyn, New York to be with her sister. After 30 years of service with Verizon Telephone Company, she retired and moved to Selma, North Carolina. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Mckinley and Beadie Allen Williams, sister, Lille Williams Holden, twin brother, Charles E (Buck) Williams, and nephew Kenneth M. Williams

She is survived by her nephew, Charles P. Williams, nieces, Latanya Matthews, Kimya Holder and Lois Jean Mclean and a host of family and friends. 

Viewing: Friday October 24, 2025, at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S, Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC 27577 from 1:00pm until 6:00pm.

Funeral: Saturday October 25, 2025, at Johnston Piney Grove Baptist Church 1691 Barber Mill Rd Clayton, NC 27520 at 11:00am with viewing from 10:30 until 11:00am.

Message: Mildred and I were front-door neighbors. I liked Mildred from the day she moved in. Before my husband’s death, she and my husband were often seen in the streets talking. He also gave her information about different things and she valued his knowledge of things some of us ladies do not know. She would let us know when she would be out-of- town to keep a watch out for her house. One time she forgot to tell us that some of her family would be coming by. My husband went over to find out what was going on. She had a wonderful sense of humor. We would get together and just had a good time and laughed a lot. She missed my husband. I will surely miss this fine beautiful lady.
