Mr. Frank Lee Pierce

Mr. Frank Lee Pierce transitioned to glory on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at UNC Johnston Health, Smithfield North Carolina. Frank was born on June 19, 1941, to the late Jack Pierce and Sadie Fields of Youngstown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his sister, Roberta Strozier, and a longtime companion Ms. Shirley Jean Lee and a very special friend Emma Bojang.

Mr. Pierce attended school in Ohio. He relocated to Johnston County, North Carolina. To some he was fondly known as “Frankie”. Mr. Pierce was a farmer for more than 40 years. He specialized in agricultural services and a master of many trades. He loved fishing and watching football and old country western TV shows. Many attributes can be used to describe him. He will be remembered by many as a humble giver and honest man full of wisdom.

At an early age he sought spiritual guidance by attending New Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clayton North Carolina and he later attended Mt. Zion of Church of Deliverance Smithfield North Carolina where he enjoyed the preaching of the gospel and fellowship.

Mr. Pierce leaves to cherish his memory: a daughter, Constance Lee Wood, a special granddaughter reared as daughter Delia Lee Lofton (Martez) of Clayton, North Carolina; two grandsons Dewey Wood Jr. of Erwin, North Carolina, and Demetrius Wood (Ashely) of Clayton, North Carolina, and three great grandchildren; one devoted brother Ronald (Louie) Pierce of Selma North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends.
