Message: I talked to Karen for the last time on 23 February just before she got off work. She and I worked at the SBA together. She was a mentor to me there. We generally talked everyday about something. Usually, it would start off about work and we would get into other conversations. Eventually after about our usual hour of conversation we would have to tell each other we have to get back to work. She generally would tell me when I was having a rough day "Remember Patrick, were getting paid". When I got the news, I just couldn't stop hearing her voice in my head, "Patrick we are getting paid". I will always and forever remember those words. It seem like the common thing around everyone she worked with in our group was her ability to say the right thing at the right time to each individual. That is a God's Gift. I shall miss her. There are not many words in the English Language that I can say that will comfort your grief. Please let me say Thank You for allowing me to share your Wife, Mother, and Grandmother with you for a short period of time. She is missed.

To Jerry and family; It is with great sadness that I write this, but it warms my heart that God allowed me to come to know and serve this great woman of God and your family. She always had an encouraging word to bestow on me when I was frazzled with my business and personal life. Thank you for sharing her. I'll greet you Friday when I pay my respects. Message: Serving in Prison Ministry with Karen & Jerry as part of "You Fed Me" ministries was such a joy. Ministry, especially encouraging and helping those behind bars, was very important to "Team Jerry & Karen" and Karen was always so very inspiring. She inspired me to serve, to give and to think 1st of others. She also inspired me and so many others to look your very best while doing service. Karen was always beautiful, with a big smile and a giggly laugh. She was a shining light to many, and I will always be thankful for her impact in my life. Family, live your lives to impact others as Karen did. Karen, I'll see you in the morning!
