1958-August 24, 2021
Roger Eugene Cole passed away in the afternoon of August 24, 2021 in Smithfield, North Carolina after a short battle with cancer. He was 63 years of age. Roger was a sales consultant with Kenly Chevrolet Industry and was affectionately known as “The Yankee ”by his coworkers, There, he was happiest selling cars and trucks and loved what he did. He had an enthusiasm and love for all sports, especially The Green Bay Packers and The New York Yankees. Roger made friends wherever he went. He loved to have fun and that is how his family will remember him.
He is survived by his soulmate of 31 years, Carol Bonafide; his mother in law, Joan Spano and brother and sister in law, Edward and Dolores Landino. His brothers, William, Thomas, and Burt Cole and Sean Christian. His father, Eugene Cole and stepmother Gloria. Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Matthews.
Memorial Services are scheduled for Sunday September 26, 2021 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel beginning at 2:00 pm. Services will also stream live on our Facebook page.
