Mr. Reuben Leroy Davis
Reuben Leroy Davis was the son of the late Reuben William Davis, and the late Mary Benton Davis was born on August 18, 1948, in Johnston County, North Carolina. He departed from his earthly home Friday, September 10, 2021, at Barbour Court in Smithfield, North Carolina. He is preceded in death by one daughter Kisha White and two sisters Mary L. Davis and Phyllis Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Nannie D. Davis, his lovely daughters Helen Davis (Yogi) of New Jersey; Lenice Alston of New Jersey; three bonus daughters Wanda Godwin (Dock)of Selma, North Carolina; Mazzie Hill (Darrell) of Raleigh, North Carolina; Nichole Sanders of Selma, North Carolina; Siblings: Peggy Wilder of Princeton, North Carolina; Winslow Davis of Selma, North Carolina; Carl E. Davis of Selma, North Carolina: Betty Wardell of Virginia; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six bonus grandchildren; fourteen bonus great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Reuben was a great cook and enjoyed his life as a fisherman who also loved to eat some good food. He also worked on cars throughout the years of his life. His love of food made him want to own a restaurant.

Public Viewing: Friday September 17, 2021 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Private Services: Services will be limited to 35 persons (immediate family) in the Chapel Saturday September 18, 2021 at 11:00 am. There wil be a public viewing from 10:30 am until 11:00 am. Facial coverings are required while in attendance at. Services will streamed live on our Facebook page.
