Mrs. Geneva Virginia McSwane, age 86 of Selma, NC transitioned from this world to her heavenly home on Monday February 7, 2022 at the Smithfield Manor Nursing Home. She was born January 5, 1937 in Johnston County NC. Her parents were Stephen and Emma Toler Lane.

Mrs. McSwane was a 1958 graduate of Richard B. Harrison in Selma, NC. She worked as a teacher's assistant for 10 years at Selma Elementary. Mrs. McSwane also worked at K.R. Edwards in Smithfield. She enjoyed working with puzzles and loved working in her flower garden.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son: Steven McSwane, and two grandchildren: Damian and Dante McSwane, in addition to other relatives and friends.

 Viewing -  Walk-thru viewing Saturday February 12, 2022 at the Walter Sanders Funeal & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield, NC from 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm. Facial Coverings are required.

 Funeral Service - viewing Sunday February 13, 2022 from 12:30 pm until 1:00 pm at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, with funeral beginning at 1:00 pm. Services will stream live on our Facebook page starting at 12:55 pm. Facial coverings are required with a maxium of 35 persons allowed in the chapel.
