Ms. Ruth Hazel Bunch

Ms. Ruth Hazel Bunch, age 86 was born February 15, 1940, in Johnston County, NC.  Ruth was the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Pearl Sanders. She transitioned on Wednesday September 9, 2026, at her residence surrounded by the love of her family.

Ruth attended and graduated from Johnston County Training School in 1958. Ruth worked in the Johnston County School System and also performed duties as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She joined Wesley Chapel at an early age, later joining Mt. Zion Church of Deliverance, where she remained until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roosevelt and Pearl Sanders, daughter Sharon Barbour, and brother Roosevelt Sanders Jr. Ruth leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Shelby Sanders (Rodney), grandson, Derron Barbour, granddaughter Alana Williams, sister, Rebecca McCoy, brother Robert Sanders (Ella) and sister-n-law Louise Sanders.

The family would like to ask everyone to please give them privacy at this time as they mourn the loss of their loved one. Due to house repairs, we aren't having visitors, but you may bring food, other goods, or any acts of kindness are welcomed. Call/text first please!
