Sandra Renee' Pierce
Sandra Renee’ Pierce, 66, of Kenly was born on August 28, 1955 and passed away Thursday night, February 10, 2022 at Johnston UNC Medical Hospital in Smithfield, NC after a lengthy illness.
Sandra graduated from North Johnston High School in 1973.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pierce; mother, Kathleen Watson; father, Sawandersee Bo Joyner; sister, Sherry Jean Richardson; and brothers, Robert Anthony Watson and Reginald Williams. She is survived by her sister Pamela Allmound, one uncle, Haywood A. Watson (Vanessa) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
Renee', as she was affectionately called, loved her church, Mincey Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church where she joined at an early age. She worked tirelessly in various ministries as a member including: the Deaconess Board, chairperson of the Home Missions, the Senior Choir, a leader of the Young People Christian League, the Women’s Choir, the Church Anniversary Committee and assistant secretary of the Bible Church School. Deaconess Pierce will be dearly missed by both her immediate and extended families, her church family and her friends.
Memorial Services
will be held March 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm in Kenly at Mincey Chapel Church.
The Family would like to thank the staffs and doctors at Liberty Commons in Benson, NC and Johnston UNC Medical Hospital in Smithfield, NC for the care extended to Sandra during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mincey Chapel OFWB Church, P.O. Box 98, Kenly, NC 27542.
