In Loving Memory of Clem Demetrius Dobbins III

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clem Demetrius Dobbins III, who departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Health Center.

Clem was born on July 17, 1958, in Richmond, Virginia, to Eula Dobbins-Godwin and the late Clem Dobbins II. He was a proud United States Army veteran who served in Communications and later retired from the United States Postal Service.

Clem was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known as a compassionate and caring person who loved people, sports, traveling, serving his community, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. His warm spirit and love for others touched the lives of many.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cynthia; his children, Detrius, Jovan (Beth), Elshay, and Yadira; ten grandchildren, one great-grandson; his sisters, Clementine (James), Brenda, and Linda (Anthony); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Clem was preceded in death by his father, Clem Dobbins II, and brothers Alphonza and Gregory Dobbins.

His family and loved ones invite the community to join them in remembering and celebrating a life defined by love, service, family, and friendship.

May his memory forever remain a blessing.

Arrangements:

Viewing: Monday Oct. 12, 2026, at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. (family will be present from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm).

Funeral Services: Tues. Oct. 13, 2026, at Smith Chapel FWB Church 6055 US-701 Hwy, Four Oaks, NC. Viewing 11:00 am until 11:30 am and funeral begins at 11:30 am.
