Ms. Janice Hinton Judkins

Janice Hinton Judkins age 78 of Selma, NC passed away quietly at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Ms. Judkins was born in Smithfield, NC on June 10, 1943. She was the daughter of Mr. Edward Hinton and Frances Bell Hinton both deceased.

Janice attended Johnston County Training School (J.C.T.S.) and was a member of the "Class of 1961". Janice served her country as a member of the U.S. Army. Janice's tour included Germany where she attained a rank of SGT. Janice retired from active duty and joined the Army Reserve where she also retired. Janice was an avid gardener often spending countless hours cultivating her flowers. 

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances Hinton, and her sister Surluta (Dianne) Schatzman. Janice will be missed by many. She leaves to mourn her loss two brothers; Edward Hinton, Francis Hinton, one sister; Bernieitha Morrison, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family of Ms. Judkins will have a private memorial service at a time and place to be determined by the family.
