Mr. Richard Louis Williams

     Mr. Richard Louis Williams, age 88 transitioned on Wednesday November 2, 2022 at Smithfield Manor Nursing facility with his wife by his side. Mr. Williams was born March 11, 1934 in Johnston County, NC to the late Clinton and Levour Williams. 
     Mr. Richard was a 1952 graduate of Johnston County Training School (J.C.T.S) in Smithfield, NC. He also served honorably in U.S. Army. Mr. Williams worked many years as a machinist of Drake's Bakery in New Jersey and later moved to Smithfield, NC and worked at Burlington Mills Industries. Following his career at Burlington he was subsequently employed by Carolina Packers where he retired. 
     Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Levour Williams, children; Kenneth Williams, Aloysius Williams, siblings; Clinton Williams Jr., Marvin Williams, Charles Williams, Norvell Williams, and Rosanell Williams.
      He is survived by his wife of 65 years Mrs. Annie Williams, Children; Brookie Glaspie, Cynthia Williams, Myrna Williams, sister; Thelma Williams, 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
Viewing: Friday November 11, 2022 at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Funeral Services: Saturday November 12, 2022 at Burning Bush Holiness Tabernacle 714 W Market St, Smithfield, NC 27577 at 2:00 pm. Services will stream live on Facebook starting at 1:55 pm.
