Mrs. Hortense Tina Gardner
Hortense Tina Gardner was born January 19, 1949 in Smithfield, NC to Lottie Byrd and Herbert Mckinley Creech. She entered eternal rest on Saturday September 10, 2022 at the age of 73. Hortense Gardner is predeceased by her parents, Lottie Byrd and Herbert Mckinley Creech, husband, Herbert Gardner Sr., siblings; Walter Byrd, Herman McClamb, Corsandra Roberson, and David Byrd.
Hortense Tina Gardner leaves to mourn her loss, Herbet Gardner Jr. of Wilson, NC; Lula Creech of Wilson, NC; Beverly "Dee Dee" Dublin of Smithfield, NC; Rita Romero of Hutto, TX; Herbert Byrd (Thomasine) of Selma, NC; Aldostin Byrd (Rose) of Smithfield, NC; Thurman McClamb (Sandra) of Charlotte, NC; James Guest (Dorothy) of Smithfield, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Family will be recieving friends at the home 501 Randolph St Wilson, NC Thur(today) from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm

- Friday 9/16/22 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC 27577 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Facial coverings are required.
Funeral Services
- Saturday 9/17/22 in the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel starting at 11:00 am. Facial Coverings are required. Live streaming on our Facebook page, Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services beginning at 10:55 am.

Message: To the son and family of Pastor Hortense Gardner! I cherished every moment she spent with me and the kids while I was band director at ET Beddingfield HS! She was so generous with her gifts of sewing and making flags, repairing uniforms and doing alterations for band member! She was a great supporter of the band as well as whenever I ministered in NC! I remember her traveling with the band and making sure that all of us were well taken care of! I will miss my friend although I know she is resting with Jesus, taking a well deserved rest from labor to reward!
