Mrs. Minnie Wilkins 84 of Smithfield. NC transition on 07/22/2021.
Minnie was the beloved daughter of the late James Wilbert Jenkins and Annie Mae Everett-Jenkins, wife of the late Roscoe Leo Wilkins and beloved mother to Dawn and Jackie Wilkins. Minnie attended Johnston County Training School. Minnie retired from Sandoz Novartis after 30 years of service.
Minnie is survived by two daughters; Dawn Wilkins, Jackie Wilkins, two aunts; Rosalee Marbley, Geraldine Sanders, four sisters; Eloise Foster, Dorothea Oliver, Louise Smelling, Emma Jenkins, six grandchildren, Marienetta Smith, Leo J. Wilkins, Tajuan D. Wilkins, Dashaun E. Wilkins, Mia S. Johnson, William D. Johnson II, seven great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and a host of other relatives and friends.
We ask everyone maintain social distancing and wear facial coverings at the viewing and graveside service as a precaution for the protection of yourself and others.
Viewing/Visitation
- Friday July 30, 2021 from 3:00pm until 6:00 pm at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC.
Graveside Service
- Saturday July 31, 2021 11:00am at Sunset Memorial Park corner of Highway 70 West and Highway 210 east in Smithfield, NC.

I remember years ago Mrs. Wilkins visited my church here in New Jersey and the alter call was made and Mrs. Wilkins accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal savior.
It is with our deepest and heart felt sympathy that my wife and I extend our condolences to the Wilkins Family.
May God HIMSELF be your strength and comfort during this time is my prayer for you. Amen
