Mrs. Thelma Graye Hunter
Mrs. Thelma Graye Hunter, age 84 of Smithfield, NC transitioned quietly away on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield, NC. Ms. Thelma was born in Smithfield, NC June 6, 1937 and was the daughter of Earnest Scott Watson and Rhoda Lee Watson.
Ms. Thelma attended and graduated from Johnston Central High School. Following high school she worked for many years at Field Crest Mills.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons; Douglas Hunter, and Tony Hunter, one brother; Ernest L. Watson, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Viewing:
Tuesday May 3, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC 27577. Facial coverings are required inside.
Funeral Services:
Wednesday May 4, 2022 at 12:00 noon, Green Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 2861 Brogden Road Smithfield, NC. Facial coverings are required. Services will stream live on our facebook Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services page starting at 11:55 am
