Ms. Annie Griffin Richardson
Annie Griffin Richardson was born on February 16, 1942, to the late Sam Vick, Sr. and Pattie Ann Richardson in Johnston County, NC., and was the stepdaughter of Wylie Lassiter, Johnston County, NC. departed this life on August 13, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Annie was educated in the public schools of Selma, North Carolina where she graduated from Richard B. Harrison. She was a proud member of the Class of 1962.
She leaves to celebrate her life, five children: Glenn M. (Carolyn) Richardson, Sr. Fayetteville, NC, Maurice S. (Tiffanie) Richardson, Raleigh, NC, Morris L. Richardson, Smithfield, NC, James B. (Rhonda) Richardson, Fayetteville, NC, Dr. Flourice W. Richardson, Greensboro, NC. Three brothers, Sandy F. Richardson, Sr. Smithfield, NC, Wilbert Richardson (Pamela), Macon, GA, Edmund Lassiter, MD, and one sister, Florence Smith, Kansas City, MO., and two sisters-in-love, Rose Hunter, MD, and Keama Richardson, Wilson's Mills, NC, Anthony (Ann) Toler Fayetteville, NC, and Swaizetta L. Wiggins New York, and 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister-in-Christ, Melvine O’Neal, Clayton, NC, a host of nieces and nephews, special friends, and extended family.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. Sandy Richardson 1210 Harris St., Smithfield, NC each evening from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Viewing and Funeral Services - Saturday August 20, 2022 at the Johnston County Ag Center 2736 NC-210 W Smithfield. Public viewing 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm. Celebration of Life starts at 1:00 pm.
